I've watched a number of American colored dudes giving reviews on this film and they're offended by a lot of the script......it puts me off that their sense of humor is so narrow . You guys on the other hand have a more broad sense of humor , so ...thanks for making it a great watch . Satire at its best.

Yes, the beginning of the end. Exactly right. There is an energy crisis and an economic depression that defunds police departments. The world only gets worse, though partly for other reasons.

Great movie, but the world building hasn’t been fully fleshed out yet, partly due to budget, partly the newness of the concept, but within the world it’s explained as we are much earlier into the descent into dystopianism. There are still vestiges of civilization.

Another very underappreciated time travel movie is is "Southland Tales," also directed by the director of "Donnie Darko." It stars Dwayne Johnson and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Highly recommended.

I can tell you that when this happened I worked at a customer service in sweden ( I am swedish and lived in Stockholm ). We had several tv:s in our callcenter where the news rolled for hours. So when this happened we were about 60 people just struck at what was unfolding in real time before us. We where watching it and some calls came in and they were watching to. So I was talking with a customer when the second plane hit and we both saw it and just became quiet in our phones. And then the customer said, I will call you back later and I could hear he was crying as we hung up. So I know everything that happened at the towers, but I never knew what happened around it, like this event. Beautiful to watch and shows humanity at its best ( when it was also at the worst ).

Lyta is not a P5 She has been modified, she has gills to breath Vorlon atmosphere in S3E4 when she returned Franklin did a medical check up on her and determined she was in better health than when she left Also, next episode, 19 "Grey 17 is Missing" is the worst episode in the show There are 2 plots, Minbari which is great and Grey 17 which is just absolute nonsense

It is shocking even on repeat views to see how readily some of the crew are willing to mutilate Pilot to suit their selfish needs. You are probably right that Zahn is able to do this having tapped into her suppressed dark impulses last episode. If that hadn't happened, perhaps she would have behaved differently this episode. We know Rygel has always been about himself, and Dargo has been ready to abandon one or more members of the crew before now so its not such an unexpected move from him. The question is, what long term impact will the humane human Crichton and the reforming Peacekeeper Aeryn have on the crew's individual and collective behaviour?

There was a scene in the book where Alex murders a guy in prison, then the minister of interior shows up and says that prisoners simply enjoy their punishment. Unfortunately-because the prison murder scene wasnt included in the film-the minister making that same speech in the film is utterly meaningless! Then in the book the writer tells Alex all about how he wants to help Alex be rid of the Ludivico treatment at the dinner table, BEFORE hes figured out that Alex is the hoodlum who terrorized his home awhile ago. In the film, the writer finds out right away who Alex is, THEN tells Alex about how he wants to help him. But the trouble is that if the writer knows who Alex is, then his kindly statements to Alex make no sense! When Kubrick rewrote the book for a script version, he failed to realize that a book's plot can be a house if cards. Pull out one card and the whole house collapses which is what happened here.

QUESTIONS ABOUT A CLOCKWORK ORANGE: 1. How is it that Alex's parents don't look anything like him? 2. How is it if the authorities know that Alex was in the gang battle-as the guy tells Alex in his bedroom-how is it the cops can't arrest Alex? Or at least question him? 3. How can milk blind someone? 4. How is it if Alex's family well know about Alex being a dangerous criminal (the scene where the lodger says that the parents have told him all about past crimes of Alex) how is it that they wonder where Alex spends his nights??? Do these people take stupid lessons? 5. Why does the minister at first call Alex a wretched hoodlum and is repulsed by him when he first meets Alex and is all for Alex being put in the Ludivico 'cure', and even puts on scientific demonstrations of Ludivico cases on stage, then why later in the film does the minister befriend Alex and offers him employment and talk about how horrible the Ludivico programme was!??? 6. How is it that the writer has read the newspaper headlines about Alex being turned into a zombie, yet he doesnt jnow about Alex committing the murder, when all the headlines said about Alex being a murderer? 7. Why are the parents still sympathetic to Alex at the end when theyve learned his final crime was murder? 8. Why does Alex write his name as Alex Delarge in a scene then later a newspaper headline lists him as Alex Burgess?

Michael O'Hare got a great sendoff here, and I'm glad he did because he definitely deserved one. I've always said that his efforts on helping to keep Babylon 5 on the air after he had to depart the series due to illness are tremendously underrated. He stood aside with grace, continued to support and advocate for the show even though he was no longer on it, still attended conventions and was one of the show's biggest proponents. If he hadn't been so willing to take one for the team the way he did there might not have been a season 2 or 3 of B5, and it would now be a forgotten show with a handful of fans speculating on how it would have gone had it not been cancelled.

Fury Road has really nothing to do with the Mel Gibson movies, besides being dystopian. It's a whole nother universe. I have to say these films had a distinct Australian 'look' about them that I always like. Aussie exploitation cinema in the 70s and 80s just has a unique feel period.

There was the angry juror, the bigot, Mr. baseball, the ad/yes man, Grandpa, the Architect, the robot, the little guy, The Forman, the laborer, Mr. clean/slum and the immigrant. My favorite was juror 9/Grandpa. ;-) I just had the thought that the real killer was in the same gang as the kid, but was jealous that he wasn't the leader, thus to get the kid out of the way he killed the kids father (wiping off the knife, but leaving it), in the hope the kid got arrested and convicted? WoW, was he surprised! ;-)

I believe it's based on a book, then was a play (Henry Fonda played the same role), then this movie? ;-) The director had kept them in that room for hours, without filming, having them go through their lines. The instant that second knife was revealed... "Mistrial", if the Defense attorney had found out. At 28:09; I believe that's the angry juror walking slowly down the steps... defeated?

When they watch the Earth-Minbari War movie, they'll realize WHY the Earth ships turned tail so quickly.

Quite the series. One just mustn't think TOO much about the "historical" continuity - the first movie seems to take place around - probably shortly before - society and nature decided to go bye bye in Australia, but the following movies seem much further away from it. It feels like there's at least one or two generations between each one, if I had to take a guess, judging from the mess everything is in getting deeper and deeper. The director/author came up with an explanation that ... actually isn't all that bad: We're not witnessing the actual "Mad Max" in real life (perhaps with the exception of the first movie), but tales the folks in the badland tell of him. Long after he lived and long after written history went down the crapper. Like Vikings told each other stories of heroes like Beowulf, the Greek of Heracles (which the Romans stole and turned into Herkules) and so forth. Mad Max - in that far away future - is the stuff of legends. So, of course, everything is even grander and more fantastic than it probably was - half of it might be made up in the first place (INSIDE the world of the movies) and people only know war rigs and cars from stories...

Cult classic the point is that everyone is responsible for there actions and like in the string theory there is a higher power God and don't forget the ego that makes humanity believe there gods excellent movie and he realizes that because he wants to live everything he loves dies like in the movie ... everything dies alone until he realizes God

During a convention BEFORE this episode aired on TV, JMS provided a "special screening" of JUST the space battle. It resulted in a standing ovation AND was such a huge hit with the fans of the show that they showed it (an unplanned) a 2nd time, resulting in a 2nd standing ovation. No wonder this episode won the "Hugo Award" (Highest award in the sci-fi genre). Because it wasn't just a HUGE leap in CGI technology to pull it off, but a MASSIVE impact on the series as well as a truly "iconic moment" for the fanbase.
